Election day is Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Municipal and school elections are held on the same day. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Voter pre-registration ends on Monday, October 23 at 5 pm.
Absentee ballots requests will be accepted at the Linn County auditor beginning on August 29, 2023: Absentee ballot request form (PDF) All absentee ballots must be received by the Linn County Auditor by Monday, November 6. Ballots mailed back to the Auditor’s Office must be postmarked by October 23, 2023 to ensure they meet the deadline in order to have the ballot counted.
In-person absentee voting will begin on Wednesday, October 18 and continue through Monday, November 6 until 5 p.m.
